Accounting and Reporting

This four-day course is designed to provide the learner with a review of basic functions and in-depth study of the accounting and reporting section of the Astra application. Specific topics such as general ledgers, journal entries, accounts receivable/payable, sales tax, and daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly procedures will be covered. Students will learn about the reporting capabilities of the application and how to analyze the reports.

 

Parts and Service

This is a four-day course designed to provide the learner with a review of basic functions and in-depth study of the parts and service section of the Astra application. Parts topics such as parts maintenance, sales, special orders, purchase orders and inventory will be covered. The student will learn service topics such as parts pricing, work orders, service setup, estimates, canned jobs, warranty setup and processing.

 

Sales and Prospecting

This three-day course is designed to provide the learner with a review of basic functions and in-depth study of the sales and prospecting section of the Astra application. This class will focus on the sales flow “deal from start to finish” utilizing the Astra application. Specific topics in manufacturer specs and options, dealer installed options, and inventory entry will be covered. The student will learn sales and prospect management, including customer follow-up. Sales and F&I setup and quotes will also be covered.

 

System Administration

This is a three-day course designed to provide the learner with a review of basic functions and in-depth study of the system administration section of the Astra application. The student will learn how to setup system security, how to configure the system for peripheral devices, and how to use various TCL commands and utilities. DesqTop system administrator, reporting methods, hardware topics and daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly system administration procedures will also be covered.
